5.1. How does the new sign in work?
When you launch Remote Desktop:
- Enter your RDP password (Same as usual)

Click OK
- You will then be prompted for Okta verification.

When the Okta window appears:

Click Send Push

Check your mobile device

Open the Okta Verify app
-
Tap Approve
Once approved, your RDP session will continue automatically.

Alternative Option – Enter a Code
If push notifications are unavailable:

Click “Or enter code”

Open the Okta Verify app

Enter the 6-digit code displayed
-
- Once approved, your RDP session will continue automatically.
Troubleshooting
If you:

Do not receive a push notification
-
Changed phones recently
-
Cannot access Okta Verify

https://clicknclose.okta.com to confirm your Okta account is working.
